I was strongly tempted to also remove all the italics text from the second section. Then i realized i wasn't clear on the distinction between the first two sections, and thought i would wait and talk with you, Tom. --John Abbe 06:49, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

The first section is introductory articles. The second section is actually the top layer of a hierarchical outline of those parts of the site that are of most interest to Great Story enthusiasts. The five linked pages -- the actual pages themselves, which are mostly made up of lists of links -- constitute the second layer of the hierarchical outline, which branches out further from there. Many pages of little interest to Great Story enthusiasts will not show up anywhere in this outline, but the outline, when it is filled out with wiki pages by many participants, will be the table of contents of a manual regarding the Great Story version of evolutionary spirituality.

I see the italics parts of each section as briefly communicating that section's perspective and/or relevance, to help the person browsing know if they might want to follow up on those links. Tomatlee 15:50, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
